Private Perfect World servers — rating 2026
BestGames collects a rating of private Perfect World servers (often called pw servers in the community) (18 in the list) by client version, combat type and build. Perfect World is an MMORPG by Beijing Perfect World (Wanmei) studio, released in China in 2005; the international version PWI opened in 2008. Private servers recreate different eras of the game — from classic 1.3.6 to modern 1.7.6 — with their own rates and balance.
Choosing by Client Version
The client version is the main guide when picking a Perfect World server — it defines which races, classes and endgame systems a project runs. Classic 1.3.6 has three races and six classes with no late systems; on 1.4.6 the Tideborn and Earthguard races, the Genie system and the Nirvana dungeon are already available; 1.5.1 runs the full roster of six races and twelve classes; 1.5.5 (Elysium) added Homestead and the Uncharted Paradise dungeon; the later 1.7.4 and 1.7.6 offer the most complex endgame. Pick the era first, then compare rates within it.
| Version | Era | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 1.3.6 | Classic: 3 races, 6 classes | Nostalgia, original balance, no Genie |
| 1.4.6 | Tideborn and Earthguard, Genie, Nirvana | 10 classes, Rank 8 endgame |
| 1.5.1 – 1.5.5 | Full roster, Homestead, Boundary | Deep min-maxing, long progression |
| 1.7.4 – 1.7.6 | Late client: Glyph, Star Chart | The most complex endgame |
Combat Type: Incast and FullCast
The second key decision is the combat build (the PW community distinguishes Incast and FullCast). On Incast servers, skills have cast time like in the original, and combat is built on timing and positioning. On FullCast servers, casting is instant — the dynamics are higher and PvP is more aggressive. Decide on the build and client version, choose the mode (PvE or PvP) and compare projects by rates, launch date and community language.
Rating and Voting
Positions in the catalogue are decided by player votes, not paid placement. Browsing and voting are free: open a project card, compare version, rates and launch date — a fresh start means an equal footing. Follow the Perfect World server announcements and opening dates to catch new servers early.
